Range of motion in the ankle was greater in the iSCI group, particularly due to overextension toward the end of the stance phase. Additionally, the angle trajectory of the iSCI animals shows one instead of two local maxima as seen in the sham group. The second local maximum is a result of pre-activation of the gastrocnemius in preparation for touchdown. As expected, forelimb trajectories are mostly unchanged following injury.
