Relationship between the range of dynamic torque at each joint. The magnitudes of dynamic hip, knee, and ankle joint swing phase torques from all 336 trials are plotted. In addition, the PC vector (green) formed by the 1st PC and the Origin vector (red), going from the origin of this three-dimensional joint space to the mean magnitude of dynamic hip, knee, and ankle torques, are shown. The angle between these two vectors is small, measuring 3.9°, which indicates that the ratios between the torques at each joint are not altered with changes in walking speed.
