A: According to the model of Allen and Tsukahara (1974), the intermediate zone of the cerebellar hemisphere contributes to movement execution by monitoring actual sensory feedback and processing error signals that compensate for prediction errors in movement planning. The lateral zone of the cerebellar hemisphere participates in the planning and programming of movements by integrating sensory information. B: Output channels in the dentate nucleus. Distinct areas of the dentate nucleus project predominantly upon different regions of the contralateral cerebral cortex, via thalamic nuclei (MD/VLc: medial dorsal/ventralis lateral pars caudalis nuclei, 'area X', VPLo: nucleus ventralis posterior lateralis pars oralis).
