EMG detection strategies – First Generation. Sequence of strategies used to detect stepping in the first generation included: i) calculating the linear envelope (shown by the red lines) of each signal using a moving window standard deviation technique, ii) reciprocal activity between the BBs and TBs bilaterally, and iii) a constant phase difference between the left and right forelimbs.
