Experimental Environment. Top, experimental setup. The subject performs the center-out movements in front of a screen showing the cursor and target locations. The subject is asked to reach the highlighted targets with the planar manipulandum. Bottom, different configuration of possible targets have been analyzed to compare the performance of target decoding. Configuration A covers all the targets shown. For configurations B and C, 4 targets are taken into account in the analysis. Finally, configurations D and E correspond to a discrimination between two opposite target directions
