Participant during baseline (left) and while using a brain/neural hand exoskeleton (B/NHE, right) for the BeBiTT item ‘Pour glass of water’. Without the B/NHE, the participant was unable to securely hold the bottle, so that he had to press the bottle against his torso to stabilize it (left). The B/NHE enabled the participant to firmly grasp and lift the water bottle, allowing him to complete the task without difficulties (right). Control of the B/NHE was established by a hybrid BCI, translating electroencephalographic (EEG) and electrooculographic (EOG) signals into hand opening and closing movements
