Experimental Setup. Participants were seated on an adjustable chair for the instrumented evaluations. The manipulator connected to the adjustable chair applied dorsiflexion, ramp-and-hold perturbations around the ankle joint, while measuring the biomechanical response. If the left foot was measured, the right leg was supported with a right lower leg support inserted into the chair frame (not shown)
