Comparison of synergies and activation coefficients across SCI participants. We observed four muscle synergies that were similar across SCI participants with epidural stimulation. The R values are plotted for the synergies and their activation coefficients across SCI participants. In the top row, the left, middle, and right panels display left, BL, and right hip movements, respectively. In the bottom row, the left, middle, and right panels show left, BL, and right ankle movements, respectively. The R values were computed using cosine similarity for the muscle synergies and zero-lag cross-correlation for the activation coefficients.
