16-pads electrode used in this study. The electrode is composed of 16 circular active cathodes (0.95 cm diameter and 1.3 cm distance between centers, called “pads”), and one common anode (19 cm long). A 30-cm long lead was designed to connect the electrode placed in the socket to the stimulator attached outside of the socket in participants with lower-limb amputation
