Experimental setup with the computer that generated the SR signal and six stimulators that delivered SR stimulation via surface electrodes at the hip, shank and ankle. The electrode leads were long enough to allow unencumbered walking at self-selected pace on the treadmill and were secured around the shank using a 3M Coban self-adhesive wrap.
