A schematic of affinity mapping themes from design sprint #1. Note that upon reviewing the themes from the affinity mapping process, participants felt that “Adoption” was the most important to investigate further for the stroke-specific NewGait device. Once the users had the opportunity to use the device in a variety of positions and have their feedback recorded, the group took that feedback and grouped the notes by themes. After discussing the relative importance of the themes that emerged under “Adoption”, the group agreed that “Donning & Doffing” and “Fit for Females” were the two most important issues to be addressed further
